What can you do to help?

 

Everyone in Farsley benefits from St. John’s. Not only is it a focal point in the centre of our community but it is also a distinctive landmark which adds value to our homes and businesses.  The church helps to create a traditional village image which is much admired and envied by visitors and residents alike.

 

Imagine for one moment what the village would be like if the church was to close or was, if it was deemed unsafe, demolished.  No clock. No church bell. No village image. Farsley would simply disappear into the vast, indistinctive, sprawling suburbs of Leeds.

 

By joining the Friends of St. John’s you, together with other individuals and local businesses will help to secure the building, and the heritage of our community.

In addition to saving our village image, you will be invited, by way of a regular newsletter, to a range of planned events.

 

You will also be kept informed of progress with the implementation of the Conservation and Development Plan to save the church.
